Displacement Measurement by L. V. D. T
Here simple demonstration setup is provided to experiment with LVDT for measurement of linear displacement. To vary the actual displacement a manual micrometer driven mechanism will be provided. Where as for reference comparison same micrometer will be used.

• LVDT sensor with necessary signal conditioning
circuit.
• Micrometer comparison scale.
• Manual micrometer driven mechanism for
displacement variation.

This set-up is useful to find out direction of principle
stress.
• Mechanical setup: - consist of cylinder with three
strain gauges mounted on it. with Foot Pump
• Strain Indicator - consist of three channel micro
strain indicator.
• Foot pump is provided to pressurize the cylinder.
